WEBSTER - Passed suddenly on Tuesday,January 30, 2018, at age 87. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Nancy and son, Stephen J.


He is survived by daughter, Wende (Daniel) Copeland; daughter-in-law, Barbara Wheeler;grandchildren, Katy (Greg) Barker, Matthew and James Wheeler, Victoria (Mike) Crane, Christopher (Erica) Copeland, and Rebecca (Randy) Langford; great-grandchildren, Emma-Kate and Drew Barker, Brianna and Gavin Copeland; sister, Loretta Murawaski; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


Jim was a United States Navy veteran, who proudly served his country during the Korean War. He graduated from RIT as a mechanical engineer, on the GI Bill. He was employed at Eastman Kodak Co. for 35 years, and retired in 1984. On his first day of retirement, he dug the footings for his daughter’s house, and spent his first year of retirement creating a home for her family. As a Master woodworking craftsman, and created items from pen cradles, baby cradles, paving lutes, toys, furniture and clocks. Garlic grower and tractor enthusiast, he created a legacy of growth for his family. Enjoyed golf, fishing, camping, and world travel with the love of his life, Nancy. Loved his winter trips to Florida where he camped with friends and family. Known to be the best dad,
grampa, and great-grampa ever.


Jim’s Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 10 at 9:15AM at St. Rita’s Church, 1008 Maple Dr., Webster. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the West Webster Fire Dept.
