GREECE, NY - Dorit A. Jeffers 77, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2018 at Sunset House in Irondequoit, New York.
Born in Berlin Germany she was the daughter of Rudolf and Erna Sturm. She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Jeffers and three children, Scott (Kory) Hunsinger, Marcea (John) Nitti and Susan Battle. She was blessed with grandchildren, Julia Hunsinger, Justin Nitti, Jacob and Riley Battle; brother, Rudy Sturm.
Dorit and her family left Germany in 1952 settling in Brighton. Dorit was a graduate of Penfield High School, Class of 1959. She went on to a successful career at Burroughs Company and later worked for United Services. A breast cancer survivor, Dorit enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her family.
Calling hours will be on May 29, 2018 from 10-11:30 AM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. with a time for sharing to follow.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to the Sunset House (3746 St Paul Blvd, Rochester, NY 14617) who graciously took care of Dorit in her final days.
