Greece: Passed Sunday, November 29, 2015 at age 89. Predeceased by his daughter, Erika Briffa.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Maria; sons, Ronald and Eric (Cathy) Toeper; son-in-law, Franklin Briffa; beloved Opa to Scott (Rachel) Briffa, Jeremy (Audrey) Toeper, Maria (Aaron) Bailey, Heather Briffa, Christopher (Katie) Toeper, Brandon and Veronica Toeper; great-grandchildren, Scotty, Liam, Zach, Blake, Ayden, Penelope; brother, Martin Toeper; many nieces, nephews and friends.
John was a very loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed working in his garden and sharing what he grew with family, friends and neighbors.
Family will receive friends 10-11AM Saturday, December 5, 2015 at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., followed by a Service at 11AM. Interment, Falls Cemetery.
