Greece: Peacefully on November 10, 2017 after a courageous battle with the rare mitochondrial disease called MELAS, with his loving family by his side. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Virginia Geil; and his younger brothers, Christopher and Jesi Geil.

He is survived by his daughters, Elizebeth Geil, Stacy (Jeff) Meyers; and son, Matthew Geil; grandchildren, Benjamin, Brandon and Hannah Meyers; nieces, Amanda Duclos (John), Erin Geil (Mike Vowles) and Kate Geil (Devin Fogg); half-sisters, Mary Kite and Bonnie Ruffner; countless friends and his First Bible Baptist Church family.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 17 from 3 to 7PM with a service at 7PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Todd’s name to the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation to continue to bring awareness and treatment for MELAS.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Natan Khishchenko and staff for their diagnosis and ongoing support of Todd; Dr. Joseph Finetti; the wonderful staff at Shore Winds Nursing Home, West One Wing; and Donna Maloney and Jennifer Morrow of Lifetime Assistance Hospice for their care, love and support of Todd and his family in his final months.
