Paul D. Buckert, loving husband, father, and grandfather, died peacefully on March 9, 2018. He was born on April 4, 1930 in Rochester, New York, to the late Camilla and Raymond Buckert. Paul graduated from John Marshall High School (1948). He was an employee for many years at Eastman Kodak until retiring in 1985.

Paul was married to Joanne (Defler) on October 27, 1950. They were married 67 years. His son, Kevin, and his brothers, Jimmy and Bernard, preceded him in death. Paul is survived by his wife, Joanne; son, Mark (Kathy) of Atlanta, GA and their children Matthew, Heather, Nathan, and Benjamin; and daughter, Paula (Tim) Reynolds of Rochester, NY and their children Michael, Kyle, and Andrew; daughter-in-law, Cathy (Salvaggio) Buckert and her sons Spencer and Mitchell; and sister, Lorraine Jeggli. Paul also has eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Paul enjoyed golf, old movies, and WWII trivia.

Paul was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. Friends and family may pay their respects at the memorial service, officiated by Rev. Larry Stojkovic, on Thursday, March 15 at 3:00 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 1301 Vintage Lane, Rochester, NY. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Paul's name to Hope Lutheran Church or Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center.
