He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 61 years, Kathleen May Underwood; cherished children, Jody (Gene) Kim, Lorraine (David) Durinzi, SueAnn (Robert) Meddaugh and Edward (Gloria) Underwood Jr.; adored grandchildren, Julie (Alexander) Bielecki, Kyle Tellex, Gregory (Erin) Tellex, Zechariah (Mary) Underwood, Kate Durinzi, Elise Underwood, Abbey Fedison, Daniel (Olivia) Underwood, Samuel Underwood, Margaret Fedison, Maegan Durinzi, Elisabeth Underwood; treasured great-grandchildren, Alexander and Ryan Bielicki, Matthew and Jane Tellex and Avi Underwood; loved sisters, Jeanette Majors and Maria (Felton) Strickland; and many nieces and nephews, including Stephen Majors and Tomette Robin.

Ed retired from Xerox Corporation where his spent his entire career after serving in the US Navy from 1957-1960 as an Electrician’s Mate on the USS Thetis Bay. Ed was a longtime volunteer firefighter with the Laurelton Fire Department. He was an avid gardener, fisherman, Wheel Horse Tractor collector, and enjoyed re-connecting with fellow shipman.
Ed’s family will receive friends and family 4-7 PM Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd., Rochester. A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at All Seasons Chapel, White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Rd. followed by Interment.
