Rochester - One of 11 children born to Carlos and Margaret Shamp on June 25, 1931. Passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the age of 88. Gordon served in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Gleason Works after 16 years of service.

Predeceased by his beloved wife of 68 years, Elaine E. Shamp. Survived by his children Bruce (Kathy) Shamp, Glen Shamp, and Richard (Kristine) Shamp; grandchildren, Tom (Krista) Shamp, Brian Shamp, Annette (Mike) Junot, Kayleigh Shamp (Derek Meagher), Kelly (Zachary) O’Neill, Lindsay Shamp, Scott Shamp, Kaitlyn Shamp; great-grandchildren, Zachary Lippa, Amanda Lippa, Mike Jr. Junot, Brennan Junot, Ella Shamp, Cade Shamp, and Eilee O’Neill.

The family is grateful for the loving care provided by the staff at the Aurora House and would like to extend a special thank you for their care, memorial donations may be directed to:
