Rochester, NY: Geraldine Stamski went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the age of 98.
Geri, as she was affectionately known, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, flower gardening, knitting, reading, exercise classes and volunteer work.
She was the last of the "Greatest Generation" and was pre-deceased by her husband Peter Stamski, daughter Patricia Romansky and great grandson John D. Romansky. She leaves behind her son Guy Michael Stamski, son-in-law John A. Romansky, grandsons John P. Romansky and wife Sue, Michael J. Romansky and wife Amie, Todd P. Romansky and wife Courtney. Geri also leaves her six beloved great grandchildren Makayla, Hailey, George, Carter, Megan, and Nicholas. A special thanks to dear friend Sharon Meyers who over the past few years faithfully visited her until her passing.
A celebration of life service will be held in her honor on Sunday, September 15th from 2 to 3 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired-Goodwill Industries of Greater Rochester, Inc., 422 South Clinton Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620; info@abvi-goodwill.com.
