On Sunday, September 29, 2019, Carol E. (Chamberlain) Ireland of Greece, NY, passed away at the age of 81. Carol was born on September 21, 1938, in Kill Buck, NY to D.H. and Lillian Chamberlain. She earned her nursing degree from the Rochester General Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. On September 6, 1959, she married Thomas H. Ireland and they had a daughter, Michele.

Carol loved traveling, gardening, baking, hosting parties at home, and helping others. She worked as a nurse at Rochester General Hospital for 35 years, was a Campfire Girl leader for her daughter’s group, and was an active volunteer for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society – Upstate Chapter for over a decade.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, D.H. and Lillian. She is survived by her husband, Thomas, her daughter Michele (Jeffrey) Miller, granddaughters Lauren and Sara Miller, brothers D.H. (Judy) Chamberlain and Douglas (Jean) Chamberlain, sister-in-law Carol Maskiell, and many nieces and nephews.
