I had the honor to work for Vince in the NYSP. Vince was the consummate professional. Always steady, always ready and always there when you needed him.
Vince was a quiet leader, his impeccable character and lead by example style were his trademark . Vince epitomized true leadership. Vince assigned you a task and trusted you to do your job and do it well.
Vince had a profound impact on me both personally and professionally and I can only hope that I was able to pass on some of what I learned from him. I was fortunate to be able to share these sentiments with Vince and for that I'm grateful.
Sherri and Family, my most heartfelt condolences.
Till we meet again Boss!

Vince was my first partner at the SP Brockport Bureau of Criminal Investigation. We had a lot of good times working that area. Cindy still talks about the first time she saw Vince do his Elvis impersonation, and I fondly remember his retirement party as one of the best roastings I'd ever seen. Our thoughts and prayers to Sherri and the family. RIP Grey Rider.

Uncle Bud was the greatest Uncle & loved so very much. You made every family gathering fun, especially when your inner Elvis made an appearance. You lived a great life & raised a beautiful family. May the wonderful memories of you soften the pain of your absence. I'll miss you on the dance floor...Rest in Peace Uncle Bud.

My husband and I are the fortunate ones who now enjoy the beautiful home Vince and Sherry built & customized on Gilmore Rd. It is our dream home and Vince was so wonderful in patiently taking the time to transition the house over, teaching us and preparing us to care for and maintain the stellar quality that he a Sherry kept. I knew that I could call him at any moment and he would help us or run over to show us something if we needed it. He was so thorough and patient with us, teaching us and making sure we had everything we needed (Sherry too!). It was a true comfort knowing he was only a call or short drive away. Even thou we did not know him long, his presence is everywhere in our home and we think of him often and will truly miss him.
To Sherry and the family, We are so very sorry for this great loss. I’m certain his spirit continues to live on watching over you all. We continue the traditions of entertaining and making wonderful memories in the house just like Vince told us to! We will Raise our glasses & toast to the wonderful man he was, and who lives on in spirit. Cheers Vince!

We were blessed to live next to Vince and Sherry on Gilmore Road for 26 years. Throughout the years, it was a truly inspirational to see how much family meant to Vince. It was the kind of love and devotion that you don't often see these days. We know the love that Vince had for his family, friends, neighbors and community will give strength during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Sherry.

Love is the passion which endureth
which neither time or absence cureth . . .
Which naught of earthly change can sever
Love is the light that shines forever
It’s chain of gold
What hand can break it?
It’s deathless hold
What force can shake it?
Mere passion aught of earth may sever
but souls that love,
Love on Forever

"ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING'
How lucky was I to have a sweet, easygoing little brother to grow up with. Christmas morning, Allegany, Roller Skating.. I could write pages more. And boy, could you dance!
As I told you when you were here you'll always be the "King" of brothers to me. I miss you deeply.

I so clearly remember Vince when we reconnected at the Smith Cousin reunion. It was easy to see the love shared between Vince and Sherry. I have a great photo of you both sitting in the oversized chair. Thank you for your service to our country! Thank you for your service as a police officer. God speed.

We met Vince and Sherry when Shelby and Dan began dating in college. When Dan needed a place to live off campus, they welcomed him into their home. We were living in Virginia at the time, and Dan was missing his family. They treated him like one of their own, and we will be forever grateful for their kindness. When we were back in NY, they invited us for get-together on Gilmore Road! They loved to party, and we always had a great time. Vince was always a wonderful host! I cannot count the number of times Vince helped Dan and Shelby with projects on their home. He was a jack-of-all-trades, and would tackle any jobs the kids needed help with. He was as much a father as he was a father-in-law to our son. Your family was your focus, and they will remember you with the greatest love and respect. Watch over them from above, Vince

I met Vince in 1984. He was my neighbor who lived behind me. Every time I saw him it’s was a smile and hello, also come over for a pop. He was a brother I never had . As life went on we did many things together. I’ll name just a few. Many Bills games watched and went. Golfed together, did some fishing and let’s not forget boy could we party. He loved to dance and sing of course he was the King what can I say. I love you buddy you will always be the King. I’ll miss you dearly you’re friend, Mike Roschetzky

We are all a little less today. No matter how long it had been, where you were, or what happened, you always knew you had Vince in your back pocket if you needed him. Life will be a little less sure without that. I'm better for having known him, and I have way too many memories to list here. I'll just us them for a smile when I need one. Thanks Vince.

Vince and Sherry were our neighbors when they lived in Clarkson, and we could not have asked for better neighborhood friends. My wife and I will miss Vince dearly. He was a person of genuine honesty and high integrity. A man like Vince only comes by once in a lifetime, and we both feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity in sharing some pretty great times. Wishing Sherry and family much peace and comfort during this very difficult time.

Vince is my uncle. I didn't get to see much of him but when I did, it was always a genuine good time. What I remember most about him is his voice and his smile. I have so much respect for him. He is a great guy and I will miss him so much. He is so loved by all of his family and he will continue to be a part of our memories and conversations forever. I love you Uncle Vince!!!
