Virginia passed away peacefully on October 27, 2019 at the age of 93.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert T. Ransom.

The memory of Virginia lives on in her children, Donald (Wendy) Ransom, Donna (John) O’Connor, Barbara Gooding, Patricia (Christopher) Holmes, Linda (Michael) Chang; grandchildren, Eric, Craig, & Dillon Gooding, Melanie & Cory Chang, Nolan, Eli & Weston Ransom, & Tim Adamson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Virginia was born in 1926, & graduated from John Marshall High School in 1944, where she served as her class president. Among Virginia’s innumerable hobbies, she was an avid Golfer, Bowler, Tennis, Bridge, & Softball player. She also dedicated her life to the betterment of her community & served in the Greece Food Shelf & Clothing Closet, Cameron Community Ministries, Dorcas Circle, & sat on the board of the Flower City Jazz Society. She was also a longtime member of Greece Baptist Church.

Celebration of Life Service, and Refreshments will be at Greece Baptist Church (1230 Long Pond Road), on Saturday, November 9th from 2pm to 4pm. Burial will be private at White Haven Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, or Greece Baptist Church.
