Mr. Edward N. Mays was born on April 20, 1970 to Wanda Evans & Edward Mays in Newark, NJ. Later in life his family moved to Rochester, NY where he received his education from Rochester City School District. “Ed” graduated from John Marshall High School in Rochester, NY.
Brother Mays accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age. He loved the Lord and was a studier of the Bible. He was a member of the Embassy of Christ Bible Church, under the leadership of Pastor Gary Wiest in Rochester, NY. In his leisure, he enjoyed Track & Field (High School), Karate, & he loved to collect many items especially VHS tapes.
Edward N. Mays was truly blessed and he was a blessing to others. He departed this life on July 28, 2020 at his residence in Rochester, NY. He was preceded in death by his loving mother Wanda E. Wims; Father: Edward Mays; Grandmother: Josephine Evans; Grandfather: Clarence Evans; Cousin: Joseph T. Whitehead. He leaves to cherish his memories: Akeim Fairwell (Brother), Charlene Wims (Sister), Corey Wims (Brother), Delores Whitehead (Aunt), Althea (John) Jones (Aunt/Uncle), Atlas (Margarette) Evans (Uncle/Aunt), Iyanna Fairwell (Niece), Lisa Whitehead (Special Cousin); and a host of cousins and other loving relatives and friends & the Residents & Staff Members of The DePaul Community
