Rochester:
At age 100, passed away on September 26th. Predeceased by her parents, George and Bertha Zimmer; husband, A. Gordon Thomson; siblings, William, Avery Zimmer, and June Mauer. She is survived by her son, James (Deborah) Thomson, and daughters, Jill Thomson and Jeanne (Jeffrey) Thomson Ford; grandchildren, Alex Thomson, Lindsay Thomson, Kaitlyn Ford, Sarah Ford, and Rebecca Persaud-Ford; great-grandson, Henry Thomson along with twelve nieces and nephews. She was born on April 14th, 1920 and graduated from West High School in Rochester, and married in 1950. She achieved the highest rank in Girl Scouts and was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She enjoyed sewing and making and decorating cakes. Family will receive friends from 5Pm - 8Pm on Tuesday September 29th, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations & Funerals 2636 Ridgeway Ave Rochester, NY 14626. A Memorial service and interment will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Girl Scouts of America and or the Aldersgate Methodist Church, Greece, New York.
