1937 - 2021

EAST ROCHESTER- Demetrio “Walter” Cavatassi, 83, left us on January 13, 2021, after a short battle with cancer.

He is predeceased by his parents, Carmine and Ersilia (Mattielli) Cavatassi.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia, and his children, Anita (Joe), Demetrio (Gretchen), Daniel (Brittany), Steven, Gina (Mustapha), Tricia (Michael), and Talia. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, Vienna (28), Alexandra, Demetria, Maximillian, Gretta, Ava, Michaela, Zackary, Joseph, William, Mia, Milana, Nina, Alimatou, and Olivia (3), his brother, Achille “Kelly” (Sarah) Cavatassi. Also his nieces and nephews, Tanya, Achille (Kristen), Carmen (Kristen), and their children.

A special thanks to the staff at Wilmot Cancer Center at Strong, 6th Floor. Better care is not possible.

No prior showing.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at a later date.

Donations may be made in Walter's name to the Open Door Mission.
