To Marlene and Family.
Rik and I shared a special bond from the time we met selling Carpet together in Florida. Felt like a brother that I was waiting to meet for a long time.
His love for God and Family was inspiring and unwavering. He made me a better man, just by being around him. He will be missed by many. But there is no doubt, that he was Heaven bound.
Can't wait to see you on the other side of glory brother.
I know how proud his family and friends were.
Marlene, you will forever be in our prayers.

Rik will be missed by my family and I! We got to know each other at the baseball fields at G&T preparing for games and the Hilton yearly tournament, usually praying for rain to stop! Rik was always kind and positive and was enjoyable to be around trusting me and the Hilton organization every year with field prep and equipment use. You will be missed Rik! Rest In Peace my friend! Marlene & Family,
Agnese and I are saddened to hear of Rick's passing. We pray that God will bless each of you as you grieve your loss.
I worked with Rik at the Sports Park for many years and understood his strong faith in God and the personal values that were evident in his life.
Truly a benchmark for others!

Marlene,
You always spoke positively of your husband and will continue to do so, I am sure. Rik seemed like a real inspiration to you and others. I treasure your friendship and your love for Jesus. Amid your mourning, I know there is still great joy inside of you. God Bless.

Rik and the Benson Family,
Our loving memories go back to when our girls were in pre-school at Northstar, to fun times and great memories with Rik at G&T baseball Park. When we think of Rik and the Benson's we smile and laugh at the times we shared. I was one of his Twitter followers ;-). Rik was a rare and wonderful person - one of God's treasures. He's rejoicing in Heaven now !
Love

I had the privilege of seeing Rik pour his passion for God's Word and Salvation into the students at NCA. Even though we were not close, I could clearly see he showed genuine love and care for those around him; a great role model for all. I take great joy in knowing he is in the loving embrace of his Savior, Jesus Christ.

Very good man. Did not know him well but would talk on occassion. He had a very good reputation. I know many of his Bible students loved him, loved his class including my son

When you were born my firstborn baby I counted all fingers and toes! You weighed almost ten pounds. I didn't know we would only have you for a short time. I love you so much. A good and faithful servant is now with his Lord and Savior, Jesus!

I have sooo many memories of Rik and every one puts a smile on my face and many even make me bust out laughing. To me, he was a great friend, a generous boss, a tireless servant for our Lord, a fun coworker and the greatest Yankee fan, EVER! I will miss you, Benson. I will do anything and everything I can to take care of your girl. See you again in glory, my friend.
To Marlene, Marisa, Brett, Vicki and your entire family, my prayers for you all will never stop.
All my love, Dawn

I did not know Rick as well as Marlene , but when we lived in NY we did all hang out. We got married same month and year and had baby girls at same time. They hung out when young. I know you were an amazing husband, dad, and witness to the kids at the baseball park. You will be missed, but we will see you again in heaven. May God give your precious family comfort.

Although we didn't know Rik very well, we know Marlene and his daughter, Marisa. Those two gals are inspiring and amazing Christians! Rik was one blessed man and we think he knew that. Our prayers are for Rik's entire family/families. We are sure everyone will miss him beyond anything that I can imagine. I know everyone is happy for Rik that he is with our Lord and Savior. I'm also sure his loved ones' hearts are breaking as they say goodbye and carry on with out his physical presence. Again, prayers for ALL. Mary and Pete Montenaro

Rick was a loveable little boy and grew up to be a wonderful man. I enjoyed my time with him. I wish his family only the best. When your heart is empty, filling it with happy memories can help.

Rik was such a wonderful, quietly wise man who loved his family immensely. He was the perfect partner for my friend, Marlene. I will miss celebrating pitchers and catchers week! My life was blessed by you, as were so many.
