A former resident of Henrietta for over 45 years and most recently residing with daughter, Patty and son-in-law, Michael, in their home in Greece, passed away on April 6th, 2021. Predeceased by her parents, Oliver and Marion Burton; sister, Diane McCarthy; husband, John Mayer. Survived by her children, Mark (Herba) Thomas, Robert (Nancy) Burgo, Terry Haines and Patricia (Michael) DeBurro; grandchildren, Jacob Haines III, Kimberlee Whittier, Shawn Burgo, Alison Gravelle, Loretta Clark, Michelle Dear, Gary Kennedy and Nicole Brayer and spouses. Along with many great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; sister, Joan (Robert) Hartmetz, a few crazy cousins, as well as many nieces and nephews; special friend, hairdresser and chosen daughter, Sue Thayer and of course her furry friend, Rocky. Carol was a member of the Rush Seniors for many years and forged many lasting friendships there. A special thank you to the staff of Lifetime care and Hildebrandt Hospice for their compassion and care they provided to our mother when needed most. No prior calling and private inurnment with the family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lifetime Assistance 425 Paul Rd, Rochester, NY 14624.
