Michele was born in Albany, NY on February 16, 1958. She was the wife of David “Ron” Whiteford. They were married for 34 years. She was a loyal employee for the School without Walls for over 25 years, where she built long lasting relationships with the students and faculty. She will be remembered for her love of cooking, crafting jewelry, her house plants, camping with Ron at his families camp in the Adirondacks, vacationing in Maui with her sister and parents, and rescue animals, especially her dogs, Blue, Frito, and her cat Chito. Her passion in life was her family and friends.
Michele is predeceased by her grandparents, Michael and Rosalie Giannone, and her in-laws, Ceylon and Beulah Whiteford.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Ron Whiteford, her daughter, “Little Michelle” (Matthew) Kraft, her grandchildren, Hailey and Benjamin Kraft, her parents, Frank and Laura Giannone, her siblings, Lisa Rodgers, and Christopher Furfaro, her Aunts and Uncles, Susan (Joseph) Fabrizi, and Alfred (Anna) Santillo, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Timothy (Lannie) Whiteford, Joan (James) McLaughlin, Barbara (Carl) Budgen, and Phyllis (Jerry) Mayback, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd, Rochester, NY 14609, on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A graveside service will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 10:00am.
