In Memory Of
Theodore John Mura
1946 - 2021
Ted is survived by his loving wife, Marlene (Dummer) and 5 children, Timothy (Jennifer) of Irondequoit, NY, Michelle (Terek Johnson) of Portland, OR, Melissa (Brandon Piccarreto) of Irondequoit, NY, Jennifer (Nicholas Finocchario) of Livonia, NY, and Theodore II (Summer Okada) of Honolulu, HI. Beloved Papa of 15 grandchildren that he adored. Jonathan, Cole, Samantha, Katelyn & Olivia Mura, Elijah, Arlo, & Milo Johnson, Dylan Piccarreto, Anya, James, Lilian, & Holden Finocchario, and Harshal and Dax Mura.
In his teens he met his adoring wife, Marlene. They were married November 4, 1967 and spent 54 blessed years together, never an unkind word spoken between them. Corporal Mura was a proud Marine who served during the Vietnam War. He was an Eagle Scout and served as a Boy Scout Troop Leader. He was a drummer in the Grey Knight Drum and Bugle Corps. He served his church community as a youth group volunteer for many years.
Ted's greatest joy was his family. He was the perfect mix of serious and silly. He was always there when you needed him no matter what with a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye. When you were around him you knew you were loved. He spent many years sharing his love of woodworking with his family and friends. He was a collector of treasures and always had what you needed. He was one of the GREAT ones and will be sincerely missed.
