In Memory Of
Marjorie Ann Yandow
1938 - 2022

Marjorie Ann (Bell) Yandow (Aug 20, 1938 – May 15, 2022) died peacefully in her sleep. A life-long resident of Rochester, NY, she is survived by her daughter, Debra (Paul) Bishop; son, William Yandow, Jr.; and grandchildren, Donald (Yandow), Alexander, Daniel, Evelyn (Bishop), Taylor Yandow and her beloved beagle, Cleo. She joins her husband, William Sr., brother Robert, and parents Roy and Marion in eternal love and peace.

Marjorie dedicated her life to family. Having lived with her parents until married, she helped care for her mother after a devastating stroke daily returning home at lunchtime from her job at the Rochester Credit Bureau to help care for her. In 1968 she married Bill, then stayed home to raise her children and dedicate herself to her husband. She was deeply spiritual and a faithful Catholic. Her life was equally full of love and challenge yet she always remained patient and devoted. She was known as the neighborhood mom – always providing a band aid or snack.

She was a “good-hearted woman in love with a good-timing man.” The epitome of quiet strength, she rarely let anything ruffle her. We will always remember her loving hands and smile, and her kind heart.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Sat, June 4 at 10AM at Peace of Christ Parish, St. Ambrose Church, 25 Empire Boulevard, Rochester. Internment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

A life-long animal lover, in lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to ASPCA in Marjorie's memory.
