Predeceased by her husband, Edward; parents, Maynard & Catherine Hornby.
She is survived by her children, Christopher (Melissa) Vadney & Joy (Michael) Ryder; grandchildren, Nicole & Nathan Ryder; great-grandson, Isaiah Jenkins; sister, Lyn (Peter) Staltare; brothers, John, Joseph (Catherine), Steven, & Peter (Bev); many nieces & nephews.
Diane was born and raised in Oneida New York. She was the oldest of 6 children. Diane moved to Rochester in her early 20's and began a career at Sears Roebuck Company. This is where she met the man she would soon marry and they had 2 children together. Diane created her Home Daycare business to be home with her kids while contributing to the growth and development of children for many families over the years.
Diane was a devoted Buffalo Bills fan and cheered loud and proud for them with hopes of one day a Superbowl title.
Her Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Friday, September 30, 2022 at St. Boniface Church, 330 Gregory St. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Rd.
