Passed away Tuesday, September 27th, 2022 at age 83.

Husband of Beverly Wade, father of Timothy and Natalie Lockwood, grandfather of three.

Albert was born in Geneva NY on February 28th, 1939 to parents William Mortimer Lockwood and Dorothy Lockwood (Haskins, Sorg).
He was predeceased by his parents, sister's Irene Ora Jessmer and Carol Smith, and half sisters Shirley Ann Hottois Perrotte (Sorg) and Marilyn Tatner (Sorg) of Rochester, NY.

He worked in construction for Kodak in his early days, in newspaper delivery for the D & C, and as a cook for Gitsis and other local restaurants over the years, and moonlighted doing janitorial services in his later years. He attended Holley HS and completed his Sophomore year in 1956 and earned his GED later in life at MCC where he also completed vocational training for cooking.

He proudly served our country in the USMC from 1958 to 1962.

He loved fishing and camping, driving out to the beach, and doing his gardening and lawn keeping in the summers.

He enjoyed making repairs around the house and planting flowers, and visiting his grandkids and spending time with his children. He regularly frequented Mark's Texas Hots on Monroe Ave to have his morning coffee and socialize, as well as the old Tip Top Diner on Mt. Hope.

He also liked to help wheel in lesser abled dialysis patients at Fresenius Kidney Care at Clinton Crossings where he himself received dialysis treatments 3 days a week for the last 4 years.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beverly, his son Timothy Lockwood (April)of Greece NY, daughter, Natalie Lockwood of Seattle WA, and three grandchildren Daniel, Christopher, and Kimberlee.

Family and Friends may pay their respects, Tuesday Oct. 4th, 5pm to 8pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 6 Empire Blvd. Rochester, N.Y. where his service will be held at 8pm.

Military Honors to be held Wednesday Oct. 5th at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, 2461 Lake Ave. Rochester N.Y. If you would like to attend please meet at the Lake Ave main gate of the cemetery at 11 am to join the procession to the grave.
