Elizabeth LaBeef Cardella "Beth"

Rochester, New York

Loving mother, wife & sister, passed peacefully in her home on, December 1, 2022 surrounded by her family, after a lengthy battle with lung cancer.

Predeceased by her parents, Charles LaBeef & Betty Jean Shepardson; step-father William Shepardson; sisters, Janice & Joyce; & brother in law Nelson Casey.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ippolito Cardella, daughters, Cheryl Schlegel & Tearra-Marie (Demitri) LaBeef, grandchildren, Caliyah & Cora; sisters, Roxann Casey, Debbie (Ron) Olyer, & Cheryl Fick; brother Charles (Lisa) LaBeef; aunt Dort & aunt Millie (Ron) Schrlau as well as, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Beth was born and raised in Rochester. She spent her childhood in the South Wedge area later settling with her family in the town of Greece. She met her husband Ippolito in 2000 and just celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary this past September. Beth was a loving mother, grandma, mom/"Momma T" to Rosy, Jake, and Jeremy; "Mema" "Aunt Bear" "Sister", "Partner", friend etc. to many others she 'adopted' along the way; all meant the world to her. Her home, family, and heart were always open.

Beth was proud owner/operator of Loops bar on S. Clinton for 20 years; having also worked at VFW 304 and the PAC club in her time. She was known for her hospitality, events, and various charity efforts. Including Christmas parties for local kids, donation/ fundraising efforts, and always jumping in to help. Beth was someone you could count on when the chips were down. She was a straight shooter with a big heart

Beth has requested a memorial celebration be held in her honor. This will take place on her birthday; January 8, 2023 from 2 - 7 PM at the American Legion 818 Ridge Rd in Webster, NY.

One of her wishes was to have a college fund for her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the family will be deposited into her Grandchildrens' college funds. You may also donate to either the Wounded Warriors Project or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Beth donated frequently to both of these herself.
