Richard P. Thorpe passed peacefully with family by his side at the age of 87. Born April 24th 1930 in Greece NY and into the arms of Christ on May 5th 2017 after being in hospice care for 8 days at Creekview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Richard is predecessed by his parents Richard F. Thorpe and Irene (Fralick) Thorpe. His sisters Mary Ellsmoore and Anne Hall. Richard is survived by his former Wife Elizabeth Thorpe, Daughter Deborah Thorpe McClenaghan(Richard Hill), Son Ronald Thorpe. His brothers Harry (Sue)Thorpe of Hamlin, John (Betty)Thorpe, and sister Irene Thorpe, both from Florida. Granddaughters Meaghan McClenaghan(Colby Nicholson) and Melissa McClenaghan-Damon(Nicholas). Six great grandchildren, Kyleigh Love, Carter, Jace, Meilah Grace, Emilia & Xander. Also many nieces and nephews.

Funeral mass will be held at St. Theodores church at 9:30am, followed by his burial at Mother of Sorrows cemetery. Richard was a jokester and always looked to get a laugh out of those who surrounded him. He was kind hearted, gentle and giving. Richard suffered from dementia for the last 10 years of his life.
