Greece: Passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 24, 2016 in his 88th year. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, June (Grace); children, Wayne (Kathleen), Bruce (Lori) Griffin, Karyn (Douglas) Fredendall; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Joyce (Oscar) Steger and Jane (Robert) Marshall; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mel was a proud Marine Veteran of WWII.
Special thank you to Lifetime Care, especially Dr. Olden, Jessica and Tracy for their outstanding care.
A Celebration of his Life will be held 1 PM Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4115 Dewey Ave., Roch. 14616.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Rochester New York Chapter, PO Box 368, Pittsford, NY 14534.
