Rochester: Passed unexpectedly Sunday, October 26, 2014 at age 39 and is at home with the Lord. Predeceased by her father, John Howell.
She is survived by her loving mother, Elizabeth Howell ; 5 sisters; Carolyn Smith (Craig), Deborah Fenton (David), Felicia Howell, Renee Nicholls (Michael), LaDonna Howell (Benjamin), 3 brothers; Michael Howell (April), John Howell (Priscilla), Bryan Howell (Roberta), nieces and nephews ; Nicole, Stephanie, Erin, Jordan, Kariana, Jacob, Ashley, Sean, Zac, McKenna, Joshua, Lauren, Maddie, Edison, Dashiell aunts and uncles , cousins and her beloved cats, Simba and Ribsie.
Janeen had a love of life, friends and family and had a strong faith. She was a volunteer at Owego and Binghamton area Veterinary Clinic with Dr. Amanda Berry and loved animals. She was a productive worker at Achieve (formerly ARC) in Owego NY for many years. She was active in the Broome-Tioga area Special Olympics for over 20 years, under the coaching and guidance of John Crosby and had been named Athlete of the Year. She enjoyed karate, bell choir, puzzles, bowling and swimming.
Family will receive friends 1-3PM Saturday, November 1st at New Comer Funeral Home, 6 Empire Blvd. followed by a Celebration of Janeen’s life at 3PM.
