Greece - On January 9, 2020 at age 85.
Survived by his wife of 63 years, Jane; his sister, Dorothy Bell; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Vern was born on April 28, 1934 in Butler, Pennsylvania. He served in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956. He graduated from Washington State University and Elmira College. He was employed by the New York State Division of Parole throughout most of his career.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at Wegman Family Cottages for their loving and dedicated care.
A service of remembrance will be held in the Spring.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association or the charity of one's choice.
