Dave and I worked together at Entercom Rochester from 1999 until early 2001.
Although he had his moments when he could get under anyone's nerves, he was one of the most kind-hearted, humble, and hard-working people I've ever met.
I will never forget how supportive he was of me when I was just an intern trying to break into the radio industry. My first paid radio job was working for him at WEZO 950 AM playing the Saturday morning infomercial block. I remember that he went to bat for me with management on at least one occasion (and probably many more times that I don't know about), and that he would prepare all of the same show prep materials for me daily that he did for all the full time air staff at WBEE when I became a part time/weekend personality there.
My sincere condolences to Connie, the rest of his family, and to all others whose lives Dave made a meaningful impact on.
Rest in peace my friend.

I first met Dave when I started working for WKLX around 1995. I was mostly doing evenings and Dave worked overnights across the hall on sister station WBEE. Dave came in long before midnight to do production work and we got to be good work friends. Dave was always very complimentary and very encouraging. After I left working at the B. Forman Building studios, we talked only a few times over the next several years. I was reunited with Dave when he joined us last year at my current employer, WLGZ. It was great to catch up on old times with Dave and Connie.
Dave was one of the friendliest, positive, hard working individuals I have ever known. And may I add he lived out his Christian beliefs every single day. I will miss him, but feel blessed to have known him.
My condolences to Connie and the rest of his family.

Although I never knew David, I did work with Connie for many years at Unity Hospital. Connie was always so proud of him and we listened to his radio broadcast every night we worked together. My sincerest condolences to you Connie. May God hold you and comfort you in your time of grief.

The last time I saw Dave was on Sunday, July 26. It was the 1st anniversary of Jessica's being "called home" and we spoke mostly about her. Dave's heart was heavy... but not for long, because just 2 days later they were joyfully reunited again.
Connie & Dave have been our neighbors for almost 20 years. Our front porches are adjacent and often the place we chat. The 4 of us share a love of dogs and many of our conversations centered on our "babies". Dave & my husband, who plays guitar, also shared a lifelong passion for music. They both have incredible memories and when we went out to dinner, the music trivia knowledge between the two of them was astounding! It was great fun listening to them.
Since Dave's retirement, he spent a lot of time at home. When we saw his car pulling out of the garage and exchanged greetings, he/they were almost always going to a service or Bible study. Because Dave & Connie have been rock solid in their faith, we KNOW that God will be faithful in carrying her through yet another tragic loss.
"Christ died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when He returns, we can live with Him forever." 1 Thessalonians 5:10
Our hearts weep with yours and we'll always be less than a minute away when you need us, Connie.

I was an overnight worker from 1993 to 2006. Big Daddy Dave Beck was like a friend, there to keep me company. And the Sunday morning blend was a joy to listen to. Rest well, Mr. Beck!

Oh Connie, I am shocked to see that Dave passed away!! I'm so sorry! He was such a dear man and you two were such a great couple. Your faithfulness and steadfastness as a couple were examples that I tried to apply to my own marriage. May God guide you through this hard time by wrapping his loving arms around you. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. He will be sorely missed.

Dave Beck was one of the finest Men I have ever known. He was kind, compassionate and wise beyond his years. He was a Great Husband and Dad. He was a Great Friend. I will miss him all the days of my life. I sure hope Dave and Bill Coffee get the Eternal Radio Station going up there and save places for Terry, Marti, and me. Very shocked hearing the news. My sister Jessica Rodriguez was very close with Dave. Our mother and I send our deepest condolences.

Dear Connie and family. I did not know Dave well. I had the privilege of meeting and chatting with him several times. I was witness to the love and devotion he had for Connie. This was a rare and beautiful relationship that I was able to observe. Connie was equally devoted to Dave. Sometimes she would wait to share things with him as she knew it would be unnecessary stress for him, until she had all the information. It gave me hope and faith that there are still fairy tale relationship in this era. 39 years is a testimony that love still exists. I was also very impressed with the relationship that they had with their (daughter) Jessica and her fiancé. And that the relationship did not end with the passing of Jessica. Connie, I want to thank you for letting me get to know you and your family. You are a special friend. I love you Deb

Deep sorrow I'm experiencing knowing of the passing of Dave. Dave was a good man. A really good man. Honest, courteous and with a quick wit. (I knew him in the mid 70's when I hired him for a regular on-air shift at WVOR-FM/Rochester.) Farewell Dave, I miss your presence.

I worked with Dave at WBEE and later across the hall at WBBF. We had many great conversations and laughs. It was always a pleasant experience walking in to do an air shift and find him there. A real radio guy. We'll miss ya.

To Connie, Family & Friends,
It was with great sadness to hear of Dave's passing ... He was a fun guy who will be remembered by many for his love of "radio" and "God". It's hard losing someone so suddenly.....I know as long as we all remember him...he will stay alive in all our hearts.
My deepest condolences to his wife, Connie, his family and many loyal friends. May the peace of Christ be with you all and may he rest in the arms of the angels now and forever. Until we meet again. Rest in peace.
Sincerely,
Viv & Rick Ginder

Aww Dave, I will miss your calls, our late night text marathons, your friendship and your laugh, we shared so much laughter. We had a shared passion you and me and we talked about it endlessly. We were members of a band of misfits that took a flailing rock station and turned into the highest rated country station in the North East. You are now in the arms of Our Lord, our other passion. You were an amazing husband, a great Dad to your precious Jess (and Gizmo snd Abbey) you were a true servant of God and a loyal friend to me. I will need to remind myself many, many times that you no longer walk this earth, it hardly seems possible. We will do whatever we can to help Connie, I know you too will stay close to her. Until we meet again my friend, lie on the arms of the Lord, you are a good and faithful servant, your work here is not done, Rest In Peace?? Terry
