Jerry was born in Rochester, NY, on August 15, 1934 to the late William and Evelyn Lenhard. Jerry served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1953-1956. After his military service he went on to work at Xerox for over 30 years. Jerry was a resident of Escondido, CA for over 40 years, where he was an advocate for senior citizens. Jerry was a little hard around the edges, but he was a caring person with a heart of gold.
Jerry is predeceased by his brother, Richard Lenhard.
He is survived by his siblings, William (Judy) Lenhard, and Carol (Larry) Sodeman, and a host of family and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY 14626, Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 10am-12pm. Burial with military honors will be held at 12:30pm at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Greece, NY.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jerry's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
