Irondequoit- Kathleen Simpson, 73, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021 surrounded by the love of her family.

Kathy was born in Rochester, NY on March 17, 1948 to the late Salvatore “Sam” and Christine “Tina” Lupo. On November 13, 1971 Kathy married the love of her life, Bob Simpson. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this November. Together they raised two daughters. Kathy worked as a registered nurse at Rochester General Hospital in psychiatry for over 40 years. In her retirement she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her passion in life was her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Bob, her daughters, Christina Simpson, and Erika (Robert) Lowry, her grandchildren, Robert IV, Taylor, Ella, Ava, and Matteo, her sisters, Denise Baccari, Christine (Michael) Desilet, and Laurie (Doug) Buckley, and a host of nephews, family, and friends.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Saint Kateri Parish Christ the King Church, 445 Kings Highway South, Rochester, NY 14617, on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 10am
