Passed away peacefully on May 22, 2022 at the age of 81.

Sharon was born in Rochester, NY on December 3, 1940. She graduated from Monroe High School and went on to get a Liberal Arts Degree from SUNY at Brockport. She held many jobs throughout her life but to her most satisfying was her position as a Chemical Dependency Outpatient Treatment Counselor at was at the time Parkridge Hospital, (Unity).

Sharon lived her entire life in Rochester, NY and was wholly devoted to her community volunteering throughout her lifetime for many causes including A Meal and More and Greece Residents Assisting Stray Pets. She was also active in local politics throughout her life. She will be remembered for her steadfast unwavering support and love for her family and her extended family. She was a devout Christian, supporting her church and church community,
Christ Church. She was a great friend, always available to help in any way necessary, a true animal lover. Sharon was also blessed with a beautiful voice and sang in many choirs throughout her life.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Jeannette (Robert) Maerz; daughter in law, Margaret Picciotti; grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Maerz, Sydney and Samantha Picciotti; Wendy Hilton and Paul (Morgan) Hilton and all of her loving nieces and nephews. Sharon was predeceased by her loving husband Ronald Hilton and her beloved son, Joseph Picciotti lll.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Christ Church, 141 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14604, Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Burial Services will be private at the Lake View Cemetery, Penn Yan, NY
