Christine Bernhardt passed away on August 15, 2022 after bravely fighting cancer, at the age of 60. She is predeceased by her loving parents Margery and Francis Smith.

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Mark, daughter Suzanne, son Steven, and daughter in law Michelle.

Christine was a life long Rochester native, growing up on Lake Ontario in Hilton NY. Her immense love for swimming, boating, and all things water, were just a few of her many loving qualities. Christine spent many years with friends and family in the Finger Lakes region exploring, swimming, laughing and learning. Keuka lake carried special meaning for Christine, as she and her husband and children spent many summers camping, touring wineries, and building life-long memories there. Bully Hill winery and Hammondsport NY could be considered her two favorite places in her life.

Her warmth, generosity, and infectious sense of humor will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. She was surrounded by countless close friends throughout her life, many of them lasting from childhood until now. Her family will be forever grateful of the love and loyalty from all of them.

She was a voracious reader, a loving wife and mother, a best friend, and will be missed dearly.

Friends may call 4-7pm Wednesday August 24, 2022, at New Comer Cremation and Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. (west of Long Pond Rd.) On Thursday morning 11 am friends may meet at Transfiguration Lutheran Church, 3760 Culver Rd, Rochester, NY 14622 for Christine's funeral service. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
