Fairport - Passed away on September 18, 2022 at the age of 77.

Roger was born on August 14,1945; the youngest child to George and Evelyn and sibling to Carolyn and Bruce.

The Bailey family lived in a modest farm home in West Irondequoit. Roger, being the youngest, was always the more mischievous child and had the smile to match that behavior.

Roger loved to take things apart and see how they worked and alongside of his dad and brothers would “fix” motors and things in the garage. He and Bruce also had a love for cars. While Bruce liked the Fords, Roger liked the Chevy’s, always claiming that they were faster.

Roger graduated Irondequoit high school in 1964 and shortly after joined the Army.
Roger was ultimately drawn back to farm life claiming that while some people were born with “silver spoons”, he was born with “ green thumbs”.

Roger loved family time and especially enjoyed friendly competitions with his siblings, nieces, nephews, and his youngest cousin that had moved into the family home. He was always quick to remind us all that he was still “ moms favorite”.

When his dad passed away, Roger immersed himself totally into running the farm to keep his dads legacy alive. Roger, like his dad, went to the Rochester Public Market weekly and quickly earned the respect of fellow farmers just as his dad had done.
Although Roger now had his own home, he returned daily to the family home to care for the farm and his mom.

Roger will always be loved, remembered, and respected for the honest and hard working man that he was.

A true and loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
