Kenneth A. "Ken" Rhodey
1940 - 2023
Hilton, New York
Passed away on February 1, 2023 at the age of 82.
Predeceased by his parents, Mary Jane & Kenneth A. Rhodey, Sr. & Grandson, Jeffrey K. Gabriel.
He is survived by his children, Rene (Paul Hesler) Gabriel, Kevin (Rima) Rhodey & Robin VanBortle; grandchildren, Tyler Gabriel, Crystal (Joe) Sanger & Samantha LaMont; great-grandchild Delaney Sanger; sister, DeeAnn (Gary) Parker; as well as nieces, nephews & cousins.
Ken grew up on the family dairy farm in Albion, New York and began working at Eastman Kodak at the age of 18; he worked there until his retirement in 1993. He was a life-long outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and spending time on his boat “Krismic” that he co-owned with his dear friend, the late Mike Kosko. He enjoyed many elk-hunting trips to the Rocky Mountains and fishing trips with friends to Lake of the Woods. Like his late father, he enjoyed wood working in his spare time.
Ken’s greatest joy was spending time with his friends and family, especially his adult-children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all.
Family will receive friends Thursday February 9th from 4:30-6PM, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue.
