ROCHESTER-TANA G. KING, 75, passed away peacefully after a short illness on February 6, 2023.

Tana was born on July 23, 1947 to the late Raymond and Maggie King in Pinsonfork, KY.

Tana G. King, beloved sister, aunt, and great aunt, passed away. Predeceased by parents Raymond & Maggie King, Brother George & Sister Debbie King, Wanda (Bennie) Stratton

Survived by Brothers Roy Donnell King & Billy Ray King, Nieces Jennifer King, Melissa (Jason) Callaghan, Debra King, Nephews Matthew D. King, Michael Stratton, Steven Stratton, Kevin King Great-nieces Madison & Makensley Callaghan, Great-nephews Austin King, Justin King, Maddox Callaghan, Honorary great-nephew Ty' Miere Holmes and special Godson Jacob Fitch

Tana was beloved by countless friends and neighbors. She was a graduate of John Marshall High School, class of 1967. She retired from Rochester General after more than 30 years.

Tana was the epitome of kindness, compassion and love. Though she never had children of her own, she was the mother to everyone. She had a nurturing soul and embodied all of and only the best things this world had to offer. She was an animal lover and until her last, she loved everyone and everything unconditionally and with her whole heart. She saw the good in people and never let life's hardships harden her heart.

She will be forever missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Verona Street Animal Rescue or Rochester Regional Health Foundations.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., Rochester, NY 14626, on Monday, February 13, 2023 from 4pm-6pm.
