Matthew Polizzi

Rochester: Passed peacefully, the day before his 87th birthday, on March 18th, 2023 surrounded by family & friends.

Predeceased by his wife, Kathy Polizzi; daughter, Cindy Youngs; & brother, Emanuel "Bambi" Polizzi.

Survived by his special significant other, Teresa Hair; children, Anthony Polizzi, Rosemary Straughter, Tammy (Paul) Turcotte; grandchildren, Michael (Jackie), Joseph (Lauren), Andrea (Brice), Ashley, & Brittany; great grandchildren, Anthony, Zack, Zoey, Adeline, & Sofia; sister in law, Bernie; special niece & nephews, Ida Marie, Mark, & Gary; & other family & friends.

Matt won hundreds of trophies as a semi-pro drag racer & was a member of the Hudson Club. He was an avid collector of antique clocks he would also repair them. After retirement he spent a lot of time fishing. More then anything he was devoted to his family & taking care of those around him.

Calling hours will be Thursday March 23rd, 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. Funeral mass the following day at St. Jude's Church with burial to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery.
