Frank M. Kofkee, Jr. August 18, 1940 - May 15, 2023
Father, Brother, Son, Husband, Frank passed peacefully at the Pearl Nursing Home on May 15th.

He is survived by his sister Carole Shepherd and his three children, Maureen (Woody) Kofkee, Lisa Wiest, and Andrew (Jennifer) Kofkee and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents Frank and Lucille (Stout) Kofkee.

Frank was a 1958 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, a Naval Service Man in the 1960’s, and also RIT in 1972 for Tool Design. He was a career machinist by trade, employed primarily by the Sybron Ritter/ABB company. Frank would like to be remembered for his quick wit, his mischievous sense of humor, and his love of gardening.

His children will remember him as being a “jack of all trades, master of some” as he chose being home with his family over working long hours or having a time-consuming career. He worked very hard to be a full-time farmer in his spare time at the family homestead in Albion NY which included having two beautiful and large gardens and several farm animals, like Jake the goat. He bruised and cut his own hands renovating the family home tirelessly in his leisure time. He encouraged his children to pursue their dreams and supported them in all their life choices.

Frank will be missed by his friends at the local YMCA where he was a regular member, his neighbors who were accustomed to him working in all of his gardens at his home in Rochester, and also at LuGia’s ice cream stand with his kids.

No prior calling hours. A private service will be held with close family and in lieu of flowers, suggested donations to https://rochesterymca.org/give and https://foodlinkny.org/donate/.
