WAYNE D. JACKSON, a.k.a."Weasel", entered into a peaceful rest with the Lord on May 26, 2023, surrounded by his family after a courageously short and invasive medical condition. He was predeceased by his parents: Mr. Fred & Ella Kay Jackson of Rochester, NY and his foster sister Pauline Giblison also of Rochester, NY.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Jeanetta, Sisters: Tamara Johnson and Rose James also of Rochester, NY, Daughters; Simone Jackson (Aaron) Staples of Niagara Falls, NY. Stepdaughter, Maya Gourdine, Stepsons: Aja and Ariean Buggs, Delbert Moss of Rochester, NY. Grandchildren: Aariyanna and Aaron Jr. Staples, Aryana Dykes, Nahzir, Ava, Avante,Avaya, Amaya, Righteous, Ariean Jr , A'siyah, Ariel Buggs, Shanye Ward, and Jazmine Moss. A crew of devoted family and friends who loved him dearly and host of relatives from Cleveland, Ohio, Myrtle Beach and South Carolina; Special cousins, (Diane (Ernest) Pringle, Adenna and Sandy Tazell of Rochester; Close Friends: Oliver Cannady (PA), Cricket, Perry, Sam, John and Black of Rochester, NY.

Wayne was born in Cleveland, Ohio on April 2, 1954, to the Late Mr. Fred L. and Mrs. Ella Kay (Brown) Jackson. At a very young age Wayne and his parents relocated to Rochester, NY where Wayne attended the Rochester City School District and successfully completed secondary school at John Marshall, where he graduated in 1973. While at John Marshall, he was an avid sports' player in which he excelled and generated several life long friendships.

Immediately, after graduation, Wayne attained employment with the Eastman Kodak Company as a Research Lab Specialist for approximately fifteen years. This is where Wayne received his knowledge in the research areas to include supervisory certification in Asbestos Removal in many of the schools that he attended. In 1993, he worked for Olin’s Chemicals and after a short stint, he decided to make a career change into becoming a professional CDL Truck Driver, being contracted with the United States Postal Service. During his fifteen years (15) driving across the interstates he visited over forty (40) states and has always had a love for travelling.

He loved to travel and begin to collect Hard Rock pins as a hobby of his adventures. He enjoyed spending time with family and participating in activities centered around his grandchildren. Wayne was always a " social butterfly" and the life of every party. Wayne enjoyed having a good time and eating a good meal. Attending concerts for his favorite artists George Clinton and the P Funk All Stars and Rick James were a reflection of Wayne's more than " giant" personality. He spent recent time enjoying his favorite team" The Los Angeles Lakers" and staying on top of the news and current events. Nothing pleased him more than a "good steak dragged across the coal"! Wayne was a wonderful father and grandfather always putting the needs of his family first and making sure they could have a good life.

Wayne (Papi) will surely be missed and his legacy will continue on through his children and grandchildren. He will continue to live on in our hearts and our minds forever!
