Aaron Furley, a devoted business man and beloved member of community, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, in his hometown of Rochester, New York, where he was born on July 20, 1954. He leaves behind a legacy of love, commitment, and sacrifice that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
Throughout his life, Aaron demonstrated not only a deep commitment to his career but also an unwavering dedication to his family. He made the proud decision to return home to care for his aging mother, a testament to his character and the values instilled in him from an early age. This selflessness was a defining quality of Aaron, one that those close to him will forever cherish and remember. An animal lover from a young age, he loved and cared about all creatures. Aaron also was a baseball fan from his early years in Rochester.
Aaron’s professional journey led him to become a respected businessman in San Diego, California, where his contributions were felt within the local economy and beyond. However, despite the distance, his heart remained firmly rooted in Rochester, where he garnered a wealth of connections and friendships that would last a lifetime.
In addition to his professional achievements, Aaron is survived by his loving family and friends who will miss him dearly. He is remembered fondly by his sister, Louise McRorie, and her husband, Bob Henry as well as his Uncle David Pierson, and many cherished cousins. His church family at Church of the Ascension also holds a special place in their hearts for him; a community that would gather around him in times of joy and sorrow.
Aaron was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Margaret Elizabeth Pierson Furley. Their love and guidance shaped him into the remarkable individual that he became, and their absence is deeply felt by all who knew him.
As we gather to honor Aaron's memory, we will reflect on a life well-lived, filled with moments of laughter, kindness, and unyielding support for those around him. His spirit will live on in the legacy of love he leaves behind, and he will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.
