Albert L. Smith
Rochester: After a courageous battle with cancer, Al entered eternal life on Thursday May 7th 2015 at age 67. Predeceased by his parents, Melvin Smith & Florence Milazzo. Survived by his life partner of 28 years, Cheryl Gleffe; children, Al Jr.(Sabra) Smith, Christina Smith; step children, Dave (Rebecca) Gleffe, Margo Phelan, Landon (Diana) Gleffe; grandchildren, Savanna, Nadia, Kara, Nicholas, Ethan & Nathan; siblings, Richie (Anne) Smith, Kathy (Jim) Schubmehl, Sarah Milazzo, John (Maria) Milazzo; many nieces & nephews.
Al was a retiree of the City of Rochester after 45 Years of service as a Land Surveyor. He was an avid gardener, loved fishing at Black Lake and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the compassionate volunteers and staff of Advent House in Fairport for their loving care given to Al.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday, May 11th from 3-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where a Funeral Ceremony will be celebrated immediately following at 7 PM.
