It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alexander Nelson Cyganik, a cherished son, devoted brother, and loyal friend, who left us on September 28, 2025, at his home. Born on October 20, 1989, in Syracuse, New York, Alexander's journey through life was marked by passion and an unwavering spirit that touched everyone he encountered.

Alexander was a talented mechanic who dedicated himself to his craft in various automotive garages. His keen intellect and hands-on abilities made him a respected figure among his colleagues and a reliable resource for those seeking mechanical expertise. While his work was impressive, it was his wide-ranging interests and passions that truly set him apart.

A self-taught hockey player, Alexander honed his skills with immense dedication, playing with the Monroe County Eagles Youth Hockey Organization where he earned the title of MVP in tournament play. His love for the sport extended far beyond his own playing days; he was a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan who ardently followed the Buffalo Sabers, showcasing his indomitable spirit and loyalty.

Outside of his professional and athletic pursuits, Alexander found joy in nature, particularly through deer hunting and fishing alongside his beloved POPS. These moments spent in the great outdoors created bonds that were as strong as the memories they forged together.

Family meant the world to Alexander. He is survived by his loving father, Glenn E. Cyganik; his devoted mother, Marion (Robert) Bates-DiNatale; brothers Jonathan E. Cyganik and Ryan P. Cyganik; sister Samantha P. (Lou) Sawyer; and his precious niece Audrina Marren Sawyer, who brought him immeasurable joy. His trusted pet companion, Kira, will also deeply miss the warmth and companionship of her human friend.

Though Alexander is preceded in death by his grandparents and an uncle, the impact he had in the lives of those around him will never fade. He leaves behind a legacy filled with laughter, passion, and an unwavering love for his family and friends. As we remember Alexander, let us celebrate the incredible moments shared and the love that will continue to envelop us all. The world is a bit dimmer without him, but his spirit and memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May God rest his soul. We love you to the moon and beyond.
