Our loving son, Alexander “Lex” Waynick, passed away peacefully on February 9th, just two months shy of his 42nd birthday. Lex is now in Heaven, reunited with his Big Grandpa, Uncle Joe, Grandma Waynick, Uncle Jake, and Aunt Leisa.
He is survived by his devoted parents, Stephen K. Waynick and Margaret A. (Woodward) Waynick; his grandma Anmarie; his sister, Kelley; his brother, Richard, and Richard’s wife Danielle; his cherished nieces, Mara, Ava, and Charlotte; his sweet nephew, Roman; Aunt Mare and Uncle Joeba, Uncle Woody and Aunt Peggy, Uncle Daniel, Aunt Susan, Aunt Erica, Aunt Valerie, and Uncle Alonzo along with a multitude of loving cousins and friends.
Even while dealing with illness in recent years, Lex still found joy in the little things. He loved hanging out with family, watching cooking and home renovation shows, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills. His quick humor, big heart, and love of fun made life brighter for the people around him, and we’ll miss that light more than words can say.
We’re grateful for every moment we had with him and hold close the belief that he is now whole again in Christ.
A Mass celebrating Lex’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 21st at St. John the Evangelist Church on Martha Street in Spencerport, NY. A reception will follow at the Waynick home in Spencerport. There will be no calling hours.
