Alma E. Chauncey

Alma E. Chauncey, born on February 21, 1939, in Oshwegen, Ontario, Canada, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, at Hildebrandt Hospice. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, who touched the lives of many.

Alma was the cherished wife of Robert Chauncey for 56 years. Together, they built a loving family and created countless cherished memories. She is survived by her daughter, Terry Spangenburg, and her beloved grandsons, Danny, Jimmy, and Bobby. Alma was a proud matriarch, deeply connected to her extended family, which includes numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.

The family will hold visitation services on January 18, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626. 

Her burial will take place on January 20, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Western NY National Cemetery, located at 1254 Indian Falls Road, Corfu, NY 14036.

Alma E. Chauncey's memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, a testament to a life well-lived and a spirit that will not be forgotten.
