Rochester: Passed, unexpectedly, Friday, February 28, 2014 at age 80. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 59 years, Christine; children, Flora Ann Beckman, Anna May Ruckdeschel, Christine Ida Briggs (Peter Barbosa); grandchildren, Alva (Sara) Ruckdeschel, John P. Ruckdeschel Jr., Kenneth Beckman, Michael Beckman, Wilfrido Barbosa, Christine Andressi, Barbara Andressi; and many nieces and nephews. Alva was a member of the Teamsters Union #118 and a retiree of Leaseway Deliveries after 35 years of service.
The family will receive friends, Thursday, March 6th, from 4-7 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where Funeral Services will immediately follow calling at 7 PM. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Camp Good Days and Special Times, 1332 Pittsford-Mendon Rd., PO Box 665, Mendon, NY 14506.
