Alvan E. Tenny
Belleview, Florida: Passed away on Monday, January 12th, 2015 at age 84. Al was a native of Hilton, NY and moved to Belleview, FL. 28 years ago. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lori Ann Tenny; sister, Eula Leiter; brother, Herbert Tenny. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Lois L. Tenny; sons, Richard (Debra) Tenny of Lynchburg VA., Ronald (Deborah) Tenny of Rochester, James (Sandra) Tenny of Hilton; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Charles (Sandy) Linkner of Jacksonville FL.; several nieces & nephews.
Alvan retired from Eastman Kodak, bldg. #9 in 1986 after 30+ years of dedicated service. He was a past member of the Kodak Pioneer Club, Kodak Camper Club, Kodak EKCO Squares Club and the Hilton Crusaders. He was also an avid camper & traveler, a member of the Florida Wheelers Squaredance Chapter 143, loved woodworking, gardening & most recently in 2014 celebrated 61 years of marriage with a trip to Alaska.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 -2:30 PM on Saturday, September 19th at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave. where a Memorial Ceremony will be celebrated at 2:30 PM.
