Penfield: Peacefully passed away Friday, February 10, 2012. Ann was born March 17, 1926, in Pulling, Germany. She and her husband Erich immigrated to America in 1956. Although she loved her adoptive country, her heart was always in her home in the Bavarian Forest. Ann was met in heaven by her husband, Erich; brother, Ignaz Höcherl; sister, Edeltraut Aschenbrenner; nephew, Max Aschenbrenner.

She leaves behind her loving son, Roland (Kathrine) Osterwinter and her grandson, the apple of her eye, Konrad Ulrich Osterwinter; niece and nephews in Germany, Petra (Michael) Vogl, Reinhart (Renate) Aschenbrenner and Toni (Bella) Höcherl. She also leaves behind special friends, Irmgard Eggert and Albert Halter, and her loving companion, dog, Daisy who will miss sitting in the driveway beside Ann's lawn chair.

Anna was also a member of the following German American societies: Rochester Catholic Kolping Society, Rochester Touristen Verein, Schuhplattler Verein Heidengold.

Her Memorial Mass will be held Friday, February 17 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 601 Edgewood Ave., Brighton, NY. A Rosary will be held at Queen of Peace on Thursday evening at 8:00 PM. A special thanks goes out to the nurses, aids and doctors of Shorewinds Nursing Home for their compassion and caring for Ann in her final months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann's name to Our Lady Queen of Peace Memorial Fund.
