Annie Jean Murdoch
Rochester: Entered eternal life on January 14th, 2015 at the tender age of 71. The daughter of Guy Murdoch and Kathryn Erskine, Jean grew up in Antreville, SC before permanently residing in Rochester, NY. Her life's story is as diverse as the company she kept. Jean was a farmer, bus driver, activist, registered nurse, wife, mother, friend, risk taker, and the ultimate giver-of-self. She knew and loved God. Jean is survived by her two sons Reginald "Stan" and Wendell "Tony", ex-husband Dr. Reginald Ewing, lifelong friend and confidante Alba Luz, four grandchildren, cousins in South Carolina, and numerous beneficiaries of her kindness and care.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 22 from 4-6PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 2636 Ridgeway Ave., where her life will be celebrated following visitation at 6 PM. Jean loved her rescue animals, hence in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the LollyPop Farm (www.lollypop.org).
