Tony had a true servant’s heart, one that was evident in the way he gave of himself to his family, friends, and community. As a proud Navy Veteran, serving others was woven into the fabric of who he was. That spirit of service continued long after his military years, including through his time serving at VFW Post 8495 in Fairport, New York, where he remained committed to supporting his fellow veterans and his community. Whether serving his country, helping a neighbor, or quietly meeting a need before anyone had to ask, Tony found joy in being there for others.
He was affectionately known as "Junker Extraordinaire", “Mr. Fix-It” and “Tony the Tool Man,” always ready to offer his expertise or lend the tools and equipment needed to get the job done. To his family, Dad was our personal Google—a seemingly endless source of information, knowledge, and wisdom. He was known for selflessly dropping whatever he was doing to help someone in need. He had a remarkable gift for anticipating the needs of others and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Tony loved bringing family and friends together and took great joy in hosting them. Whether it was sharing delicious food around the table, making s’mores around the fire, or enjoying a fun ride down the canal on his boat, he created moments and memories that will be cherished for years to come. His home was a place where people felt welcome, loved, and cared for.
Tony was a master craftsman who found great joy in creating, building, and repairing beautiful and useful things for himself and for others to enjoy. His hands were often busy, but everything he did was an expression of his generous heart and his desire to make life better for those around him.
Above all, Dad loved the Lord Jesus in a quiet and deeply personal way. He loved his wife and family dearly and showed that love through a lifetime of service, generosity, wisdom, and devotion.
We honor his life and celebrate the wonderful husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend he was to so many. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the things he built, the wisdom he shared, and the countless acts of love and kindness he gave so freely. Most of all, he will be remembered for the love he gave, the lives he served, and the many ways he made the people around him feel cared for.
John 5:24 "Very truly I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life"
