Anthony will be dearly missed by so many loved ones. He was extremely family oriented. In his earlier years and then throughout his life, he loved spending time with his sister and brothers and their families. He enjoyed camping with the families, and hunting and fishing as well. He loved the great outdoors, especially his time in Naples. For most of his career, he was a contractor and would offer his talent at fixing things at any opportunity. He was very generous with his time and would offer to fix anything or help out in any way even if it meant running errands all over town. He loved being Rosemary' s personnal chauffeur. One of his best qualities was his great sense of humor and positive outlook on life. He was a great friend and always available to listen and help you through your troubles and decisions in life, be it on the phone or over a cup of coffee at McDonalds or (aka his "office"). He would often meet a friend or family member at "his office" where he would visit and try his luck at scratch offs in between cups of coffee and conversations about past memories and dreams of what's to come. He also was a collector of many things that would one day, "come in handy." He would often spend his hours puttering around organizing his many "collections of things" and countless hours getting his garden "just right".
Anyone who knew Tony knew he was a God Fearing, Walking in God's Love, Man of God. He would often consult his friends and family by reminding you don't know what God has planned but you have to have faith that "it'll Be Alright". In this way, he gave his strength and support. He respected others' beliefs and was not judgmental. He truly was gentile, kind and loving.
He was a loving family man and exceptional friend. A compassionate, faithful and understanding man that you could always count on if you were ever in need. He was there for you and continues to live on in our hearts.
Friends and family may attend his Memorial Mass at Noon on Friday, May 18th at St. Charles Borromeo, 3003 Dewey Avenue. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Catholic Family Charities.
