Fairport: Passed peacefully surrounded by loving family to join his Marine friends, January 15, 2012 at age 89. Predeceased by 5 brothers; and 4 sisters. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Rose (Servis) Lembke; daughter, Teddy (Ken) Klassen; granddaughter, Susan (David) Cotter; brothers, Leo (Dorothy) and Robert (Veronica) Lembke; several nieces and nephews.
Art was a WWII Marine Veteran, Pacific Campaign, Purple Heart Recipient, and was also a Veteran of the Korean War. He was an active member of the 2nd Marine Division Association.
A Celebration of Art's life will be held 4 PM Sunday, January 22 at Atonement Lutheran Church, 1900 Westfall Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the 2nd Marine Division Association Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 8180, Camp LeJeune, NC., 28542 or the Perinton Volunteer Ambulance.
