Barbara J. Bouwens

Barbara Joan Bouwens (Adams), age 87, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, in Rochester, New York. Born on April 18, 1938, in Rochester, N.Y.  where she called home throughout her life. Barbara's journey was one of quiet strength and enduring compassion.

Throughout her years, Barbara dedicated herself to the care and well-being of others. Her life was marked by a deep commitment to helping those around her-a legacy that lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. Whether offering a listening ear or lending a hand in times of need, she gave selflessly and consistently.

Predeceased by her father, Earl and mother, Pearl; sister, Jean DeNeering; son-in-law, Doug Fair.

Barbara's greatest pride was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Wendy Fair; sons, James (Jean Hasselwander), Kevin (Kristine Rowley); grandchildren, Joshua Bouwens, Jason Fair, Stephanie (Brett) Buda, Samantha. Leanne, Garrett, Rebecca, Jessica, Teresa, Anita; great-grandchildren, Owen, Jacob, Colton, Cameron.

Her devotion to her children and grandchildren was unwavering and formed the foundation of many cherished memories.

May Barbara's memory bring comfort to those who knew her and serve as a lasting reminder of a life lived with kindness and care.
